What is Casual Carnage?
Casual Carnage is a community grown from players looking to play Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40.000. As the wargaming hobby requires big tables and benefits strongly from people playing and hobbying together, Casual Carnage was set up to invite the community to come together, enjoy the hobby and provide everyone with the means and opportunity to have a game or two.
What does an event look like?
Casual Carnage events provide players with the means and opportunity to come together. A large space is reserved every event near Utrecht central station, with more than enough tables of proper size, to play out any gamemode players are looking for. As Casual Carnage grows, so does the community and the equipment events provide to enable more and more players to come together.
Next to games, Casual Carnage hosts hobbyists and spectators, with space and facilities like snacks and drinks, to provide the space to enjoy more aspects of the hobby like painting and building. Events last a full day, starting at 11.00 and going on till 20.00, so players have the time to play full games, and choose their own time of Carnage.
What is Warhammer?
Both tabletop wargames come from Warhammer, a lore-rich fantasy and science-fiction universe, filled to the brim with epic stories, massive scale battles and the rise and fall of countless empires. Warhammer centres around the tabletop game: playing out battles using an endless span of miniatures that you can collect, build, paint and deploy in battles of your choosing. The rules of the game are vast, with endless possibilities and outcomes, and the community hosts a wealth of experience to play out epic and narrative-driven wars across the fantasy- and science-fiction universe.
Next to the miniatures exist popular videogames like Space Marine 2 and the Total War: Warhammer franchise, and copious amounts of books to read more about characters, factions and gods.
